Funding & Rebate Options

Some children and adults may be eligible to receive rebates for private speech pathology sessions through Medicare.

The Chronic Disease Management (CDM) program is one of the Medicare programs which provides access for eligible clients. They can receive up to five partially funded rebates for speech pathology services, per calendar year.

People of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent may also be eligible for a further five follow-up services through this CDM plan.

To find out if your child might be eligible for the plan, contact your General Practitioner (GP). Your GP will be required to make a referral for your child through this program.

Private Health Insurance

Many private health funds offer cover for private speech pathology, depending on your level of cover and which health fund you are with.

You will need to contact your specific health fund provider to find out whether you can claim for speech therapy services.

Aspire Speech Pathology is a registered NDIS Service Provider. We can cater to provide services for Early Childhood Supports, Therapeutic supports and Assistive/Communication Technology supports.

Depending upon the severity of the disorder, children in the early intervention age range with language and/or speech disorders may be eligible for NDIS funding. For eligible clients, assessments and reports for the application of NDIS can be provided.

We can provide services for NDIS managed, self managed and plan managed clients.

If you are unsure about your child’s eligibility for funding please contact us, and we can discuss the available options with you in more detail.
